Guest of Honor

Dr. Luc Julia

Dr. Luc Julia is a pioneer in Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. He was Chief Scientific Officer for Renault, where he deployed the world's first LLM-based avatar in consumer cars; CTO and Senior Vice President of Innovation for Samsung Electronics; director of Siri at Apple; Chief Technologist at Hewlett-Packard; and cofounder of several Silicon Valley start-ups. While conducting research at SRI International, he was involved in the creation of Nuance Communications, now the world leader in speech recognition.

A recipient of the Legion of Honor, France's highest order, an Officer of the National Order of Merit and a member of the French Academy of Technologies, he holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris and earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris.

He is the bestselling author of There Is No Such Thing as Artificial Intelligence and The AI Illusion, holds dozens of patents and is recognized as one of the 100 most influential French developers in the digital world.
